What is a clean version of a song?
A clean version (or clean edit) is a copy of a song with the explicit words muted, while the music, melody, and runtime stay identical. CENSORLY makes one automatically: it separates the vocals, transcribes every word with timestamps, flags explicit language, and mutes each flagged word with a smooth 30 ms crossfade.
How long does it take to process a song?
A typical 3-4 minute song processes in under 30 seconds on our GPU pipeline. The first song after a period of inactivity may take about a minute due to a one-time GPU cold start. Songs can be up to 8 minutes long.
Does muting affect the music quality?
No. Only the isolated vocal stem is muted, so the instrumental keeps playing at full quality underneath. Exports are 320 kbps MP3 with the original metadata and album art preserved.
Does CENSORLY work with Spanish songs and reggaeton?
Yes. CENSORLY auto-detects the vocal language and applies a dedicated Spanish profanity dictionary tuned for reggaeton, Latin trap, and other Spanish-language genres. Songs that mix English and Spanish get both dictionaries at once.
Can I review and edit what gets muted?
Yes — every detected word appears on a waveform with its timestamp. You can toggle any word on or off, drag a mute's boundaries to fine-tune it, and add your own mute regions for anything the detection missed, all before exporting.
What audio formats can I upload?
MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, AIFF, and most other common audio formats. Exports are always 320 kbps MP3.
What does it cost?
Your first song is free with sign-up — no credit card. After that: one-time credit packs at $2.99 (2 credits), $9.99 (8), or $14.99 (15), or subscriptions at $12.99/month for 20 credits or $24.99/month for 50. One credit = one exported song.
Do credits expire? Can I cancel a subscription?
Pack credits never expire. Subscriptions renew monthly and can be cancelled anytime from your account — you keep access through the end of the paid period.
What happens to my uploaded files?
Files are processed on our servers and cleaned up automatically: exported files are removed within about an hour of download, and working files within a few hours. We don't build a library of your uploads.
